Medieval Europe
King: rule the country.
Nobles: paid fiefdom to the king. These Nobles were also called Vassals of the king, and they swore to serve, protect and fight for the king.
Clergy: were priests, bishops, and cardinals.
Knights: were known as warriors of the noble class.
Serfs: were allowed to buy and farm land.
Peasants: worked as farmers, builders, and crafts people.

Asian Societies
Emperor: is similar to a king, but in Japan he was also a religious leader.
Samurai: fight for the Emperor.
Ronin: were like the Samurai soldiers except Ronin were paid.
Daimyos: did the the exact same thing that Nobles did.
Peasants: were about 90% of the population. They were usually farmers and fisher man.
Artisans: were crafts people.
Merchants: were sales people, and in the lowest class.
